Design and Aesthetics of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
The 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario pays homage to the original Monster with its timeless design elements. The bike features a sleek and aggressive silhouette, characterized by its exposed trellis frame, muscular fuel tank, and minimalist bodywork. The iconic round headlamp and the low-slung tail section add to the distinct appeal of this limited edition model.
Ducati has done an exceptional job of blending classic design cues with modern touches. The Monster 30° Anniversario sports a livery inspired by the 1993 Monster M900, with a red frame and gold wheels that exude elegance and sophistication. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the bike, from the beautifully crafted seat to the premium finishes on the exhaust system.
Engine and Performance of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
The heart of any Ducati Monster is its engine, and the 2024 Monster 30° Anniversario does not disappoint. Powering this beast is a liquid-cooled, Testastretta L-twin engine with a displacement of 937cc. This powerplant is capable of delivering an impressive output of 111 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, delivering smooth and precise shifts that enhance the overall riding experience. With its advanced electronics package, including ride-by-wire throttle control, multiple riding modes, and traction control, the Monster 30° Anniversario offers optimum performance while ensuring rider safety.
The engine used in the Monster 30° Anniversario is Ducati’s well-known Testastretta 11° V-twin, producing 111hp. This engine can also be found in other models such as the rest of the Monster range, Supersport, and Hypermotard. It is fitting that the Monster 30° Anniversario retains the V-twin and Desmo valve gear, as these elements have been integral to the Monster’s design since its inception. While a Monster V4 may be considered for future models, the current twin engine will remain for the time being. The original 1993 Ducati Monster featured a 903cc, air-cooled V-twin with 80hp.
However, the latest version of the Monster boasts a 937cc Testastretta engine, delivering 111hp at 9,250rpm and 93Nm/69 lb-ft of torque at 6,500rpm, providing significantly improved performance compared to the 1993 model. The Monster 30° Anniversario is equipped with a road-legal, type-approved Termignoni exhaust, similar to the one used on the Monster SP. Like most modern Ducatis, the current Monster prioritizes reliability, with oil changes recommended every 15,000km and valve clearance checks every 30,000km.
Handling and Suspension of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
One of the key highlights of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario is its exceptional handling characteristics. The bike features a lightweight trellis frame that provides excellent rigidity while keeping the overall weight down. This translates to agile and precise handling, allowing riders to confidently navigate corners with ease.
The suspension setup on this limited edition model comprises fully adjustable front forks and a rear monoshock. Whether riding on city streets or tackling twisty mountain roads, the suspension system offers a comfortable and controlled ride. The Brembo braking system with dual discs upfront and a single disc at the rear ensures reliable stopping power.
The current Monster range’s chassis departs substantially from its predecessors. It ditches the traditional steel trellis for a cast aluminium front frame that uses the engine as a load-bearing component to hold the swingarm and rear suspension. For the 30° Anniversario, Ducati has added the fully-adjustable Ohlins NIX30 forks from the Monster SP. These forks are 0.6kg lighter than the ones used on the standard Monster and Monster+, and offer improved damping and more adjustability. The rear suspension features a matching Ohlins monoshock, also fully-adjustable. Additionally, Ohlins supplies an adjustable steering damper, something that even the Monster SP doesn’t have as standard.
Another new element is the wheel design. While the other Monster models have cast alloy rims, the 30° Anniversario comes with lightweight forged wheels that are claimed to save another 1.86kg. Importantly, this weight reduction is taken from unsprung, rotating parts, and should improve both acceleration and handling as a result. Ducati states that the inertial of the front wheel is 21.8% less than the standard bike’s wheel, and the rear is reduced by 26.9%.
As for brakes, Brembo supplies them, with the 30° Anniversario getting the Stylema calipers used by the Monster SP instead of the M4.32 Monoblocs found on the standard Monster/Monster+.
All of these updates contribute to an overall weight that is 4kg less than the standard Monster and 2kg lighter than the Monster SP. The 30° Anniversario weighs 184kg including fuel or 164kg completely dry. This is despite the fact that it gains a steering damper and a screen, which are missing from the cheaper models in the range.

Technology and Electronics of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
Ducati has equipped the Monster 30° Anniversario with state-of-the-art technology to enhance the riding experience. The bike features a full-color TFT display that provides riders with all the essential information at a glance. The display is highly customizable, allowing riders to choose their preferred layout and view relevant data such as speed, gear position, fuel level, and more.
In addition to the TFT display, the Monster 30° Anniversario comes equipped with LED lighting all around, including the headlight, taillight, and turn signals. LED lighting not only enhances visibility but also adds a modern touch to the overall aesthetics of the bike.
Even the standard Monster isn’t lacking in equipment, and all of its features are carried over to the 30° Anniversario. This includes cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control, each with adjustable levels of intervention. The ABS has three stages, the TC has eight stages, and the wheelie control has four stages.
Additionally, the 30° Anniversario is equipped with Launch Control and a lithium battery to reduce its weight. It also offers three riding modes – Sport, Road, and Wet – and features the same 4.3-inch color TFT dashboard found on the rest of the range. When starting up the 30° Anniversario, there is a unique splash screen. Other distinctive elements include a limited-edition plaque displaying the bike’s individual number out of the 500 examples produced, as well as embroidered logos on the seat.
Furthermore, the bike is equipped with full LED lighting, an up/down quickshifter, a front cowl, a pillion seat cover, and a purpose-made bike cover to protect it from dust. And lastly, don’t forget to keep the certificate of authenticity safe.

Comfort and Ergonomics of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
Although the Monster series is known for its sporty nature, Ducati has not compromised on rider comfort with the 2024 Monster 30° Anniversario. The bike features an ergonomically designed seat that strikes a balance between sporty riding dynamics and long-distance comfort. The position of the handlebars and footpegs ensures a relaxed riding posture, reducing fatigue during extended rides.
The seat height is adjustable, allowing riders of varying heights to find their optimal riding position. Additionally, Ducati offers a range of accessories that further enhance comfort, including windshields, heated grips, and luggage options.
The seat height of the 30° Anniversario is identical to that of the Monster SP, measuring at 840mm, but it is 20mm higher compared to the standard Monster/Monster+ models. However, there is an optional lower version available with a seat height of 810mm. The familiar features of the Monster, such as wide handlebars and relatively low footpegs, are retained in the 30° Anniversario.
Therefore, there is no reason to believe that this model will be any less comfortable or practical than its more affordable counterparts. In terms of fuel efficiency, there have been no changes made to the engine, so the economy remains the same as the other models in the range. Ducati states that the fuel consumption is 5.2 litres/100km, which is equivalent to 54mpg. The 14-litre fuel tank capacity also remains unchanged, resulting in an overall range of approximately 167 miles before needing to refuel.
Limited Edition Exclusivity of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
As mentioned earlier, the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario is a limited edition model. Ducati will produce only 500 units worldwide, making it a truly exclusive offering for motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors alike. Each bike comes with a numbered plaque, certifying its authenticity and uniqueness.
Owning this limited edition Monster not only grants you access to an exceptional motorcycle but also establishes you as part of an elite group of individuals who appreciate the rich heritage and craftsmanship associated with Ducati motorcycles.
Price of the 2024 Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario
The £16,095 price of the Monster 30° Anniversario seems quite high when compared to the £11,295 for the base Monster, given that the two machines share the same engine, styling, and frame. The £13,995 Monster SP comes even closer in terms of offering similar suspension and brakes as the 30° Anniversario.
However, if the price is a concern, there are likely to be others who are willing to take its place, as the limited-edition status of the Monster 30° Anniversario — with only 500 being made — means that buyers are likely to be queuing up to get on the waiting list. Other recent Ducati limited editions, even at much higher prices, have sold out within hours of order books opening.
There is only one paint option available, which is the Anniversary ‘Tricolour’ graphics that provide a modern interpretation of a scheme that has been seen on various limited-run Ducatis over the years. While there is no online ordering option, the Ducati website will connect customers with their local dealer.
